Home Task Resources Evaluation Introduction Transportation & Transit New York City is made up of five boroughs: Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Staten Island. Each of these boroughs are dependent on each other. We would not be able to get from place to place without bridges and tunnels that connect each borough. These bridges and tunnels are extremely important to our everyday lives. Please look at the websites of a few of the bridges and tunnels. You will learn why each was built, who they were named after and where the bridges are located. Be sure to take a look at the map to locate each bridge and tunnel you read about. Have fun! Continue
