Appreciation Visit to an Art Gallery

Previous questions on L.Cert 2004 – Choose and name a gallery or museum you have visited. Discuss the techniques used to engage and inform the visitor, emphasising layout, access, lighting, labelling of exhibits, the use of modern technology and the provision of general information.

What is an Art gallery? An art gallery is: A place where works of art are collected, cared for, researched, interpreted and displayed for everyone to visit and enjoy.

Considerations of an exhibition Public access Lighting Colour scheme Hanging of paintings Display of sculpture Labelling clear and concise Catering for people with special needs.
