Laws of Exponents (with negative exponents) BINGO GAME! By Mrs. Math * Sorry the font on the BINGO card is a little small so use the answer key to help students fill in the free spaces (k8 is the hardest to read). Also, make sure students show work when encountering the negative number exponents!

Helpful information about BINGO Make sure you explain the rules of winning before you play. Believe it or not some students need to be reminded. To keep there from being multiple false call-outs say that anyone who does a call out and is found wrong will have to sit out the rest of this BINGO game. Have students fill out BINGO cards in pen or marker. Reuse the nice ones by putting them in protective sheet covers and having students use pennies or other counters to mark their spaces. Optional : While playing BINGO have students show their work on a separate paper to hand in at the end of the activity, especially if students voice out that they don’t want to play. I have found the favorite reward for winning isn’t candy, pencils, or stickers – its is extra credit. BINGO is a great warm-up or review activity. However, I think it’s best used as students finish their tests early and it keep part of the class involved while the remaining students finish their exam. Winner could receive extra credit on the test.
