Lafayette Science Museum Pre visit Orientation

Let’s talk about your field trip.

The Science Museum is in downtown Lafayette next to the Children’s Museum.

There are exhibits to see.

There are Interactive Stations throughout the museum as well.

We have Planetarium shows! Entrance

There are Mini-exhibits throughout the museum like this one in the Planetarium Lobby that is themed on Meteors/Meteorites.

Teaching in the Galleries - You don’t have to be an expert !

Museum Rules are for Everyone: Students, Teachers, Parents, Chaperones, etc… WALK WHEREVER YOU GO. (meaning, don’t run, skip, etc) NO FOOD OR DRINK IN PLANETARIUM OR GALLERIES. (food only allowed in lunch space if your group has reserved room). SHOW RESPECT FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS (use your words and actions to build people up – not to tear them down). NO YELLING / NO HITTING / NO HORSEPLAY
