Colors with Nouns  Since colors are ADJECTIVES, they must agree with the noun they modify in NUMBER (singular or plural) and GENDER (masculine or feminine) and go after the nouns.  Ex. Un libro rojo – A red book  Una mochila amarilla – A yellow backpack  Unas tijeras moradas = A pair of purple scissors  Unos cuadernos rosados = A few pink notebooks

Colors with Nouns  Some colors are NOT masculine or feminine but can become plural.  Ex. Azul – Azules (Add –es to nouns that end in a consonant)  Gris - Grises  Verde – Verdes (just add an “s” if adjective ends in a vowel)  *Make “lápiz” plural by changing “z” to a “c”amd adding –es. Lápiz - Lápices
