2. Sra. Schwarz Nouns & Gender  Nouns refer to people, animals, places, things, and ideas.  In Spanish, nouns have a gender, either masculine or feminine.

3. Sra. Schwarz Nouns & Definite Articles  El, la, los, and las are called definite articles.  They all mean “the” in English.  We use el and los with masculine nouns; we use la and las with feminine nouns.
