RESINT – Collaborative Reformation of Curricula on Resilience Management with Intelligent Systems in Open Source and Augmented Reality European Commission Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) Simulimpresa in Resilience for Cultural Heritage rd Pilot Module. Unit: Disaster Mitigation and Resilience in Cultural Heritage Claudia Pedrelli, Francesca Vasi, Alessia Benedetti

The aim of this unit is to look how it is managed the recovery of cultural heritage after catastrophic events (such as earthquakes, floods and ISIS). Our unit is also responsible for finding information on the use of new technologies in the cultural sphere (smart glasses and smart museum).

The ability of a system, community or society to cope with unforeseen dangers after their occurrence. Cultural Heritage The Cultural Heritage is the legacy of physical artifacts and intangible attributes of a group, community or society that are inherited from past generations

The cultural heritage is currently under attack from the militant group Islamic state of Iraq and Syria (ISIS),as in the case the fully destruction of Nimrud, of Mosul Museum together with Nabi Yunus Shrine, Tal Afar Citadel in Iraq. Such events require the extension of the management resilience to catastrophic events caused intentionally by man. m/136800/isis-destroys- historic-sites-in-iraq- and-syria/ mosques-and-shrines-iraq destroys-historic-sites-in-iraq-and-syria/

List of World Heritage in Danger The map shows the countries that according to the Unesco possess risky sites. It should be noted that not all countries and monuments have been included because of the war that are currently at risk.
