SRBV (Draft) Policy for Approval of Professional Training Agreements Criteria for approval as a supervising surveyor A supervising surveyor must:  be a practising licensed surveyor for at least five years and be engaged in cadastral surveying in Victoria  not have more than two graduate surveyors under his/her supervision in a PTA unless the Board has granted prior consent  have an active field and office role in the training of the graduate surveyor  have a satisfactory audit history for the preceding five years  be suitable to perform the role of a supervising surveyor.

SRBV (Draft) Policy for Approval of Professional Training Agreements Gauging suitability as a supervising surveyor The Board will consider the licensed surveyor's:  role/position in the company such that it will ensure the provision of adequate training, and direct supervision of that training for the candidate and/or capacity to provide an alternative method of training (i.e. secondment with a different licensed surveyor) as required  survey audit history as advised by the Office of Surveyor-General Victoria  professional conduct record  current registration in PTA’s with other graduate surveyors  previous performance as a supervising surveyor.
