The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Purpose of a Webblog in a teacher education course: Enable students to create a professional community of colleagues. Enable students to value the knowledge and experience from each other, instead of one instructor. Enable students to receive feedback on their issues from more than one person. Enable students to become more comfortable with technology and see webblogs as a potential form of communication for their own classrooms. Enables the course instructor to gain insight into what concerns and issues need to be addressed with this particular group of students.

How to blog We are using Blogger.com server. You will have received an invitation from us to join your class blog. Accept this invitation, and create a Google Account if you have not yet done this step.

For your e-portfolios, you can add a link within your e-portfolio to show your participation and growth in a professional discussion about educational issues.

Post vs. Comments –You can create Post or a Comment – both are as valuable as the other. –If you feel like you never want to respond to the posts created – then create your own post.

Hints –After you create a Post or Comment and it doesn’t show up – press the “REFRESH” button at the top of the screen in the tool bar. –You only have to read and respond when the need strikes you – but don’t leave all your contributions until the end because then you have not participated in an ongoing professional topic. –Keep your topics relevant to education, at least in a broad, general sense.
