What Can Use SMAF? Any device that has a MA-2 or MA-3 sound chip can play SMAF sound files The SMAF (.mmf) files sizes are small relative to comparable formats such as MIDI files Depending on how many channels a MIDI file has, a SMAF file can be half the size of a MIDI file (no on/off)
