Responsibility on Next Beam Test Jianchun Wang Syracuse University BTeV meeting 06/27/01

Jianchun (JC) Wang2 Simulation of Telescope  Parallel with BTeV simulation, in same manner. First stage, it works alone. Then plug into BTeV Geant. SU should take all responsibility on this.  Input information:  Track momentum, trajectory, particle species  Detector geometry: position (x,y,z), direction (  ), pixel size  Electronics information: noise, threshold spread, ADC steps  Output information:  It should write out same format as real data, but include generated information  We need to know the format of output event, the event should also have tag, we need to discuss with Fermilab people and Charles on possible format  The analysis code should be the same for both data, except with extra information on generator level information

06/27/01Jianchun (JC) Wang3 Analysis Code  We should absorb the old code as much as possible, but some part like Kalman filter change too much to incorporate with old code  The new code will include information at generator level.  It might be possible that we work all in BTeV Geant environment, which has track fitting and so on in it, other wise we need to write or copy this part  It should also have the ability to write and read summary file and perform auto alignment as I introduced into it before  SU can put big effort on this, if the simulation part works well, maybe Charles wants to contribute more since he originally wrote the former code

06/27/01Jianchun (JC) Wang4 Data Taking  We surely will contribute more than last time on taking shift and so on  If possible, we also want to involve in DAQ part, on the condition that it is necessary and we can handle other responsibilities of this beam test
