PALNI- Private Academic Library Network of Indiana What is PALNI? Private Academic Library Network of Indiana (PALNI) 23 supported private academic institutions Founded million titles in the 23 libraries

PALNI- Private Academic Library Network of Indiana What is PALShare? Patron initiated direct borrowing between PALNI libraries Uses OCLC WorldShare Management Services (WMS) group circulation system and WorldCat Local / Discovery PALNI is first large consortium to use WMS for group circulation

PALNI- Private Academic Library Network of Indiana How PALShare works

PALNI- Private Academic Library Network of Indiana Background: PALNI migrated to WMS (live May 2014) PALNI Directors established policy baseline for sharing –All libraries must share circulating books and media and share patron records –One circulation policy: 60 day loan for books, 14 day loan for media

PALNI- Private Academic Library Network of Indiana PALShare Admin Team Diversity: circ/ILL & size Met in person & online Great team!!

PALNI- Private Academic Library Network of Indiana Testing Hours of testing by Admin Team, multiple scenarios, regional meetings Worked with our OCLC implementation manager, Cynthia Wilson Reported a lot of issues to OCLC –Fixes for some really major bugs were installed –Waiting for other fixes / design improvements
