Animal Adaptations Locust-have special adaptation of never having to hibernate. Monitor-it is cold blooded so it doesn’t burn up in the sun. Oryx-its adaptation is having long horns to ward off enemies. Scorpion-the scorpion has an adaptation of having a poisonous stinger to kill its prey to eat,and to warn off enemies. Vultures-Has an adaptation of having a keen eye sight for seeing dead animals in the desert to eat.
