September 23, mood vs. tone Ho mework: Story elements test on Monday, September 29th! Bring a copy of Stargirl by this Friday! Ob jective I can differentiate mood and tone and evaluate their impact on text. Wa rm Up: Look up the definitions of the words mood and tone in the red glossary section of your Lit book. Copy these definitions into your notes. Take out your 1st person point of view rewrite of All Summer in a Day. Make sure your name is on it.

Before we get to mood and tone, let's review yesterday's lesson on point of view.

Kid 2: Oh yeah, I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing that's more entertaining than graphing math coordinates and reviewing the parts of the plot diagram! Awesome! Dad to mom: Wow! And aren't we just the luckiest parents in the world to have such wonderful children?
