Write the Title

Purpose What will happen when raisins are placed in 7-up? (The educational purpose is to practice using Scientific Method.)

What we will do. Place eight raisins in the cup. Fill the cup half way up with 7-up.

Hypothesis Form a hypothesis. –If……,then…..because….. What do you think will happen? Make an educated guess?

Materials Do you have all of your materials? List all of your materials. –Soda –Raisins –Cup

Test your hypothesis. Put eight raisins in your cup. Fill the cup all the way up with 7-up.

Data What is happening? Describe in detail what you see. ex.) Carbonation

Draw a conclusion CER Claim –A statement about the solution to a problem. –A response to a question –An answer to a problem

Draw a conclusion CER Evidence –Relevant data or facts that support your claim –Observations that support the claim

Draw a conclusion CER Reasoning –Explains how the evidence is linked to the claim –Justifies why the data, facts, or observations support the claim –Includes appropriate content concepts or principles
