Goals Of True Broad band’s Wireless Next Wave(4G-5G) IEEE 58th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2003 Reporter: Jyun-Yong Du

Outline Introduction Evolution and Comparison Why 4G Goals and Visions Conclusion

Introduction 4G can be imagined of as an integrated wireless system that enables seamless roaming between technologies. 4G is intended to provide high speed, high capacity, low cost per bit, IP based services.

Why 4G Performance Interoperability Networking Technology Scalability

Goals and Visions 4G Network Architecture IP-based core network (for global routing) Customized access network (support features such as dynamic hand- off and ad-hoc routing)

Conclusion 4G will add perceived benefit to an ordinary person’s life over 3G. When the 4G’s time comes, we can take our phone anywhere and communicate with any other user we want. 4G should be a more intelligent technol- ogy that interconnects the entire world without no limits.
