Section 2 Evaluating Resources – Criteria to Consider

Be skeptical… The internet provides access to such a huge volume of information, from so many different sources, that researchers must learn to critically evaluate what they find there. Because anyone can publish online, you must work hard to determine the validity, authorship, timeliness, and integrity of sources on the open web. Be sure to approach internet research with a healthy dose of skepticism, and always use critical thinking to question everything you find. …and of course, all of this holds true for all types of information regardless of its format. !! WARNING!!
