3 What is an Annotated Bibliography?
“An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a brief (usually about 150 word) descriptive and evaluative paragraph, the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited” (Cornell University Library).

MLA Style Heading: Title = Annotated Bibliography Citation of Source Followed directly by the annotation

5 Review: Elements of Source Credibility
Elements of Credibility Definition/Example Accuracy The source is free from errors and operates properly; information is consistent with other sources. Validity Information appears to be well researched and/or there is a statement about the purpose of the site, which is educational in nature. Authority The author appears to be well qualified to write on the subject and/or the source is part of a respected institution (ex. A college, a museum, a newspaper, a journal) Currency The source has been updated recently and/or sources of information are current Coverage The source seems to cover the topic fully, other related topics are discussed on the source, and/or there is a resource section with links to other sources

Download the “Annotated Bibliography Template” off of my webpage Open ALL of your Citation Organizer sheets (you must annotate EVERY source you used! Fill in the appropriate information into the template and write your annotations Consult the Rubric for guidance Save your progress to your W: Drives so that you can upload to turnitin.com by Friday!
