3 Education is Key Data collected from DOE’s Baseline Hydrogen Knowledge and Opinion Survey shows that the more people know about hydrogen, the more comfortable they are with the idea of using it as a fuel or energy carrier.  Audiences surveyed were given 10 basic knowledge questions; they were also asked how they’d feel if their local gasoline station also sold hydrogen  For every population surveyed… –Respondents with higher scores on the knowledge questions were more likely to say they’d feel “pleased” or “at ease” if their local gasoline station also sold hydrogen –Respondents with lower knowledge scores were more likely to say they’d feel “uneasy,” “frightened,” or “don’t know” because they don’t know enough about hydrogen
