Child and Family Outcomes Chapter 1: General Background Information Entry Sample Information

Federal Requirement Provide an annual sample of data on children in the Early Intervention Program The data will be used to help improve service provision

Who Will Be Included in the Sample? The number of children will vary from county to county Counties will enroll children until they meet their quota for the sample All children who are eligible for the Early Intervention Program will be included in the entry sample

What Will Be Measured? The child’s progress in three functional outcomes areas: Positive social emotional skills Acquiring and using knowledge and skills Use of appropriate behavior to meet needs

How Will The Information Be Used? The information will NOT affect the child’s eligibility for the Early Intervention Program The information will ONLY be reported in aggregate
