8 Home Page From the homepage, there are a couple ways to search the database for multimedia “interactives”: 1) Using the “Search Box” OR 2) Clicking on an “Image Collection” From the homepage, there are a couple ways to search the database for multimedia “interactives”: 1) Using the “Search Box” OR 2) Clicking on an “Image Collection” 1. Search Box 2. Clicking on an “Image Collection” will allow you to view related “interactives” under a specific category.

9 Utilizing the Search Box Enter your search criteria in the “Search” box Optionally, you may limit your search to yield “interactives” created during a specific timeframe. Execute your search by clicking on the “Search” button.

10 Viewing Your Results A search on “cyclone” reveals several related “interactives”.

11 Select an Interactive to Play Select an interactive to “Play” by clicking on the image. Hovering over the magnifying glass icon with your mouse provides you with a description of the “interactive”. Clicking on the magnifying glass icon provides you with a preview of the “interactive”. NOTE: you cannot play an “interactive” in preview mode. Clicking on the diskette icon will allow you to save a copy of the image for future use.

13 Controlling the Interactive Control the interactive content by using the built-in control buttons.

14 Bookmark the Interactive for Future Use To bookmark the persistent URL for this “interactive”, simply copy the URL in your web address toolbar and paste it into another document as a hyperlink, or include the link in blogs, or course management tools such as WebCT, Blackboard, or Moodle.
