Background Tbilisi Sea – water reservoir was built in 50 th of last centaury In 2005 research study done by our organization and was concluded environmental degradation of water, in particular, reduced water quality due to pollution from urban or land- based activities. By Tbilisi administration was requested to continue our works with this reservoir for making some decision in scope of environmental management for protection this reservoir

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Overall objective Make plan for Sustainable Environmental management of the Tbilisi Sea Local Environmental Management in Urban Areas - Skopje 2011

Immediate objectives : Identification the sector for recreation use belong the Tbilisi sea area and produce the Master Plan on its development Site survey (identification the pollution spots and usage) Stakeholders workshop …. Mapping of the territory Using the GIS methods Identification the suitable sector for recreation reason belong the beach To mark out the sanitary protection zones Promote the participation of the community, stakeholders and local administration in decision-making process Find out community interests by meetings providing and discussions Worked-out recommendations for the Master Plan. Make the economic evaluation of needed works. Develop the Master Plan on safe recreation in Tbilisi Sea area.

Visiting the non water sanitation place organised by Ms.Onya. I really admire with the enthusiasm of the people who bring there enforces for saving water resources as part as of a global process of sustainable development.
