First time designers

First time designer Design is a complex process There are a lot of choices to be made –and questions to be asked It is not that difficult to find good ideas or come up with good products – it’s difficult to find good problems!

Designing in a team Different competences, background and experience Divison of project Organization & Management Sharing & Documenting

What have we learned? That when you are designing you have to: –Organize the process –Gain understanding of the whole situation –Get new insights –Gather data and induct from it

What have we learned? –Accept and deal with uncertainties –Frame and reframe problems –Look at situations from a new point of view –Learn and use new/known methods

What have we learned? –Reflect on a situation –Keep an open mind –There are no rights or wrong But there are choices and consequenses –Design is not something you can learn from books – it has to be learned by doing
