A C T I V I T I E S There are several afternoon/evening activities planned throughout the Summer Session. Not all are mandatory for instructors; however, you are encouraged to attend them if at all possible. Mark your calendar! All Staff Orientation/Training June 10 (9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.) June 11 (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) The tutor advisors, teachers and administrative staff have an opportunity to get to know and learn one another in preparation for a great start to the summer session! Pre-Conference & Dorm Move-In: June 12 Teambuilding and preparation for the Access to Career Experience program will be the focus of the pre-conference. Staff and students will greet students and parents as they move into Durfee Hall. Move in is from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. UB Live: A Showcase of Culture & Talent (East K-8) July 14, 6:30 p.m. Traditions are a part of just about every family, especially when it comes to food. Parents, staff and community members are asked to share one of their special traditional foods topped off by an evening of entertainment. Recognition Celebration: July 22 Celebrate the academic accomplishments of your students during a special celebration picnic in the Pine Grove! Department Awards are given to ONE or TWO students.

Post-Testing: July 23 Students will follow an abbreviated schedule for post- testing. Awards Banquet: July 23 Students, parents, staff and their spouse/guest are invited to attend this celebration of the conclusion of the Summer Session. Awards are presented to deserving students and the Bridge students are honored. The celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Haworth Center. Staff Celebration: July 24 Enjoy coffee, tea or your favorite soft drink in the company of the UB summer staff. Review of accomplishments and suggested improvements.
