Becoming the Broncos After beginning with the nickname of “hilltoppers”, we progressed to the present day “bronco” title in The new logo was submitted by John W. Gill during a contest to select a new nickname.

“Onward for the brown and gold!” Our traditional colors of brown and gold were created based on the brown eyed susans which grew on the original Prospect Hill campus. Though many ideas for new colors are brought up, the traditional colors are still in tact.

CORRECT!!! Some students and faculty are becoming more interested in making black and gold our primary colors as seen on sports teams such as the football and cheer team. However, brown and gold still remain our original and present day colors as sung in the “fight song”.
