2 Contrast Contrast means different. It is one of the most powerful concepts when it comes to design. Contrast can be as easy as black font with a white background. For example: Big font and little font A warm color with a cool color Thick lines and thin lines Contrasting horizontal and vertical lines Main Menu Quiz

3 Alignment In documents, alignment is very important. You need to make sure both text and pictures are align so the ready can easily understand the document. Furthermore, it creates a professional, intelligent look. Below is an example of incorrect and correct alignment, respectively. 1- 2 -3-4- 5 -6- 7 -8-9-10 (out of alignment) 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 (in alignment) Main Menu Quiz

4 Repetition Repetition is repeating one aspect of design throughout the entire document, presentation, etc. For example, the Main Menu arrows and Quiz box remain the same throughout this presentation. Also, the theme and layout of my PowerPoint stay constant. Main Menu Quiz

5 Proximity Proximity is grouping similar things together. Putting items or text in close proximity to each other shows the reader that they are meaningful and have a purpose. A good example of proximity is the title of a document or story being directly above the text. Main Menu Quiz

6 Fonts In most aspects of design, two fonts are used. Serif and Sans Serif Main Menu Quiz Serif Serifs are the lines that make the tail of letters like “t” Sans Serif Sans serif literally means “without serif”. Therefore, Sans Serif fonts do not have tails.
