Jul 2002Guide to Examiantion Result2 –Statement of Academic Record is issued to every enrolled student following the processing of the term results –Lists all the units and marks attained up to the most recent trimester –Results are generally given in the form of grades Grade 8 and 9 = High DistinctionGrade 8 and 9 = High Distinction Grade 7 = DistinctionGrade 7 = Distinction Grade 6 = CreditGrade 6 = Credit Grade 5 = PassGrade 5 = Pass Grade F = FailGrade F = Fail Grade DNC = Did not complete (e.g. fail to submit assignment/ fail to attend mid-term test or final exam)Grade DNC = Did not complete (e.g. fail to submit assignment/ fail to attend mid-term test or final exam) –Credit is awarded if that particular unit is awarded grade 5 or above Results of enrolled units

Jul 2002Guide to Examiantion Result4  Supplementary assessment –If fails a unit, a supplementary exam MAY BE granted –Conditions are: 1) Semester weighted average must be at least 50% and1) Semester weighted average must be at least 50% and 2) Marks obtained for the unit must be between 45% and 49%2) Marks obtained for the unit must be between 45% and 49% –Students who does not sit for the supplementary exam in a unit has no claim to a further exam Special Cases
