Outline of The Presentation Background of the Pressure system SSOC (Steady State Operating Curve) Step response analysis FOPDT Parameters Step response FOPDT Model Comparing Experimental vs. Model Conclusions and suggestions

Background of Pressure System

Pressure System Schematic

Block Diagram for the system

Lower Range Middle Range Upper Range

Suggested Operating Range SSOC –Non-linear –1-10 cm-H2O Operational output range –50%-100% Operational input range –Slope differs for different operating ranges

The FOPDT Parameters are: K = Gain t 0 = Dead time T(tau)= Time constant A = Size of the Step Td = Time at which the step occurs Inbl = Input Baseline Outbl = Output Baseline

Experimental FOPDT Parameters are: Gain, K: cm-H 2 0 Dead time, t o : Time constant, Tau: 2.016

Model FOPDT Parameters are: Gain, K: cm-H 2 0 Dead time, t o : Time constant, Tau: 2.056

Conclusions Found the Model FOPDT parameters and compared them to the experimental FOPDT parameters Found that the GAIN and TAU were very similar, but t o differed a lot. Ideal operation input range is: 5%-100%
