2 Patent Background and Overview
Rebaudiosides A-E, sugar alternatives for Diet CSD Natural derivatives of Stevia rebaudiana 200x potency of sugar Reb. A normally used, Reb. D desired Low Solubility of Reb. D Need 3000 ppm, can achieve 500 ppm Requires new process Point of Patent: A Novel Concept Reb. D in H2O, opposed to in syrup Mix unsweetened syrup and sweetened water Two Models Pat

6 LabVIEW output Example 2.1
Sandy - After creating the LabView model of a CSTR reactor, the output results in a 1st order model with a step input. Therefore the transfer function shown was chosen Process: Model Ex. 2.1 (Mixing CSTR), run program, initiate step change, pause, export to excel, graph, nonlinear regression, SSE results to reinforce accuracy

7 Nonlinear Regression SSE=6.127e-08
Sandy - After importing the data obtained from the LabView model into excel, we performed a nonlinear regression to determine the constants K, M, and tau. The experimental model found is very accurate, with a sum of squared errors of 6.127e-08. We noticed steady state value was reached after a while, around 10 tau. This is a problem we will talk about later.

8 Simulink Model Special Notes Random Number Generator Simout Tau=1.0548

9 Simulink Graph Reaches SS value at about 11 seconds, max % error after reaching SS is 3.45%

10 Potential Improvements
Would have found limits Valve and Transmitter Safety system Compare with the other model Reach steady state faster Guarantee our Success Steph Limits, find sensitivity limits in order to understand the ranges in which the process cannot function. Type of valve, specific transfer function for the time between the valve receives the signal and enacts the change. Transmitter, where they get read to where they get used Steady State, alter transfer function in order to reach steady state in under 5tao

11 Conclusions Our model works The model is accurate within 5%
Time to steady-state is slow Improvements can be made Attractive product for Pepsico James
