Technology in Media Production Technology plays a very important role in the field of media production Devices such as cameras, editors, and broadcast systems are what make up media production

Cameras In the production of media such as television and movies, many cameras are used Video and digital cameras capture images using electronics and save them in tape or computer memory Movie cameras are cameras that capture many images in sequence. This rapid sequence of photographs is taken on film, then later projected onto movie screens

Editing Editing plays a large part in media production Editing involves selecting the best shots and arranging them in the correct order Non-linear editing systems use computers Electronic video systems record from tape to tape

Television Television is one of the largest telecommunication mediums Television is a telecommunication system for broadcasting and receiving moving pictures and sound over a distance The most common is used in monitors up to 40” and is called CRT or cathode ray tube Television monitors with big screens over 100” use projection technology

Radio Radio is a very large part of broadcast media Radio stations across the country attract millions of listeners everyday Radio is a technology that allows for the transmission of signals through electromagnetic waves

Internet The internet has become such a large media outlet There are millions of websites in which users can access music, movies, and videos Multimedia is the use of computers to present text, graphics, video, animation, and sound in an integrated way
