Unit 1 Personal Information  General objectives:  Students will be able to look for friends according to personal information.  Students will be able to fill in the resume.  Students will be able to talk about classmates’ family photo.  Students will be able to introduce themselves to a new teacher in the first class.

Lesson One (Chain One) Look for friends  Step 1.Teacher teaches students some new words.  Step 2.Students write personal information on a piece of card.  Step 3.Teacher collects the cards and gives them out to different people.  Step 4.Students find the right person according to the card.  Task 1.Students learn to look for friends.

Lesson Two (Chain Two) Fill in the resume  Step 1.Students read a ready-made resume and get ready to answer the questions.  Step 2.Students answer the questions about the resume.  Questions:  Answers:  Step 3.Students read the resume again and underline unfamiliar words and expressions.  Step 4. Students ask teacher for the meaning of the unfamiliar words and expressions.  Task 2.Students learn to fill in the resume.

Lesson Three (Chain Three) Talk about classmates’ family photo  Step 1.Teacher ensures that students are in the appropriate groups.  Step 2. Students look at the photo and find some unfamiliar terms.  Step 3. Students ask teacher for the unfamiliar terms.  Task 3.Students talk about classmates’ family photo.

Lesson Four (Chain Four) Introduce themselves  Step 1.Students listen to a ready-made introduction and get ready to answer the questions.  Step 2.Students answer the questions about the introduction.  Questions:  Answers:  Step 3.Students read the introduction and underline unfamiliar words and expressions.  Step 4. Students ask teachers for the meaning of the unfamiliar words and expressions.  Task 4.Students learn to introduce themselves.
