Commercial Video/Multimedia Design/Development Process

Stages  Analysis and Design  Pre-Production  Production  Post-Production

Analysis and Design  analyze needs, task, learners, resources  define delivery hardware and software  identify existing media resources  develop strategy, approach, user interface  develop objectives and assessments  outline content and approach  prepare draft scripts and storyboards

Pre-Production  develop shooting scripts/storyboards  set production requirements/schedule  line up talent and locations  begin to develop media libraries  begin computer program development

Production  shoot video  produce final versions of all media  develop prototype of computer program

Post-Production  log and review video  edit video  add music and voiceovers  do final edits  prepare scratch disc  complete computer program  master and duplicate discs for distribution

Disc Production  Let’s see how optical discs are manufactured.
