 Abase  Abate  Abbreviate  Aberration  Abhor  Abide  Abject  Abort  Abrogate  Abridge Choose one of the 10 vocabulary words from the list to the left. Once you have chosen your vocabulary word, come to the white board and write your name beside your vocabulary word. It is a first come, first serve basis.

 Bell Ringer – (4 minutes)  Discuss Agenda – (2 minutes)  Vocabulary Quiz Review – (30 minutes)  Visit TCA – Online Prep  Summarize & Next Steps – (5 minutes)

 Using your vocabulary word you will need to create a vocabulary poster using construction paper (or Microsoft Word) and available markers and colored pencils.

 A vocabulary poster must have the vocabulary word in large bubble or pretty letters.  The definition of that that vocabulary word at the bottom of the page. The definition must not be larger than the vocabulary word, but also must not be extremely small.  A sentence using the vocabulary word correctly in a sentence below the definition.  An illustration in between the vocabulary word and definition that clearly illustrates the definition in a creative form.

 Your posters will be graded on: 15 points for including the vocabulary word, correct definition, sentence example, and understandable illustration. 10 points for creativity. Only the top 10 posters from 1 st and 2 nd periods will be placed on the board and will receive 25 out of 25 points.

 Vocabulary Quiz is tomorrow!  10 questions that are matching each vocabulary word to the correct definition. (50 points)  5 questions that require you to use 5 vocabulary words correctly in a sentence. (25 points)
