Moving from Level 1 thinking to Level 2 And moving from a level 2 to a Level 3

* Where I have marked your work with a star *, you need to add an extra sentence that starts “This means that …..” After draw a yellow box around your EBI * Look at the bold red parts of the mark scheme and you will see how this simple trick moves you up the mark scheme to a level 2 and again up to a level 3 Level 1 Simple statements and / or listed points with no real development Level 2 Linked statements with some explanation and at least one name of an event / area. Level 3 Detailed case study information with good development of explanation

* Where I have marked your work with a star *, you need to add an extra sentence that starts “This means that …..” After draw a yellow box around your EBI * Look at the bold red parts of the mark scheme and you will see how this simple trick moves you up the mark scheme to a level 2 and again up to a level 3 Example 1: Say you wrote “at least 500,000 people were made homeless….. You could add “this means that their would be more sickness amongst the population. This means that less would be produced at work and Nepal would have a lower GNI to spend on development projects and this means that less foreign countries would invest in Nepal Example 2: Say you wrote “Repairs will cost $5billion….. You could add because Nepal is already a poor country with a low GNI “this means that about 40% of their GNI would be needed just to get back to where they were in 2015
