BBO in North East LEP area £18.5 million, over 3 years 4 funding packages Addressing multiple barriers to employment Addressing health barriers Including support for financial inclusion and digital inclusion Working with those furthest from the labour market

Who do we want to help? Those most at risk of economic and social exclusion, including: Households where no-one works Long-term unemployed Young people who are NEET (YEI in Durham) Disabled people – particularly learning disabled. Ethnic minority groups Offenders and ex-offenders People aged over 50 People with multiple disadvantage

Possible activities Early action (before problems become entrenched) Targeted initiatives to help people facing multiple disadvantage move towards mainstream services Pre-employment skills and training New approaches to work experience and participation in learning Linking to wider packages of support. Addressing rurality issues
