Wednesday – February 11, 2015 Mr. Lombardi Do Now: Interpret the Political Cartoon and answer the questions. Aim: How did Hitler gain control of Germany? 1.Who do the four men represent? 2.Who does the child represent? 3.How does the artist feel about the Treaty of Versailles?

The Weimar Republic Food was scarce and money was virtually worthless (economic depression). Germany was weak after WWI (Treaty of Versailles). Germans no longer trusted their government.
