NEW: The Singapore Experience. Testimonials from Year 1 PhD Students "Studying in Singapore has been a wonderful experience. We have been able to work closely with faculty based here and still remain in connect with faculty in Fontainebleau via video link. The professors here have opened the doors to their homes and welcomed us with the same warm hospitality we've experienced at the campus and throughout Singapore. Singapore itself is a vibrant city-state with great night-life, exciting travel destinations nearby, and some of the best food in Asia! For me, the visit has added a unique global dimension to an already diverse business school, which I believe will prepare us for tackling business research anywhere in the world. I'm very happy I came and I wish I could stay longer!“ PETERSON Todd of USA, PhD Candidate in Organizational Behavior (Class of Sep 2007)

The Singapore Experience I find my stay in Singapore exceedingly enjoyable. This is my first time to Asia and I am happy to acquire this new cultural experience. We had a great introduction on our very first day and since then all faculty members have been very easy to reach. Overall, I think the transition went very smooth. I want to thank the professors who were kind enough to spend time with us and organize all the informal events. I was also quite happy with how our stay here is organized, we are able to work in close groups. The PhD program in Singapore is off to a great start and I am confident it will continue in the same vein for years to come! CHUPRININ Oleg of Ukraine, PhD Candidate of Finance (Class of Sep 2007)

The Singapore Experience The campus is fully connected to the France campus, and has facilities that are comparable to France in all ways. Therefore, you can enjoy a working and research environment just as good. Life is quite comfortable, though the lifestyle in a tropical, urban and neon-lit city can be quite different from that in Fontainebleau. Some of my European colleagues really liked Singapore when they came here” ZHANG Kaifu of China, PhD Candidate in Decision Sciences (Class of Sep 2007) “There are a few things that I particularly appreciate about the Singapore campus. It’s a small and close knit community, so you have many opportunities to talk with faculty members and colleagues, in both formal and casual situations. People are very friendly and open minded, and the interactions always bring sparks. This open, interdisciplinary and cooperative attitude has become a culture in many ways.

The Singapore Experience “As the only top-tier business school located in the heart of Asia, INSEAD’s Singapore Campus offers a unique opportunity for doctoral students. Just as in Fontainebleau, you will receive the high-quality training and have easy access to the world’s leading scholars in business research. The Campus, of course, offers an unparalleled environment for developing international perspective. You will be interacting with students and staff members from all over the world on a daily basis. Furthermore, Singapore is a great place to live. You can experience an exciting mixture of Chinese, Indian, and Malay cultures, enjoy a great variety of cuisines, visit the beautiful parks and sandy beaches, recharge yourself with the amazing nightlife, etc. If these are not enough, the rest of the Asia and Oceania are just a short flight away”. YANG Haiyang of Japan, PhD Candidate in Marketing (Class of Sep 2007 )
