* The ancient Egyptians lived in houses made of bricks. The bricks were made up of tiny pieces of chopped up straw and mud. The Egyptians poured the mixture of mud and straw into moulds. The bricks were left all day in the sun until the mixture dried up into brick.

 The tools used to build houses was a T square.  A T square was used for measuring angles  They used plumb lines to make sure the houses were built straight.  They used brick moulds for the bricks. *

 The houses of the richest people were stronger because they could afford to build their home from stone.  Rich houses always had a pool and garden in their backyard.  the rich people had up to 10 rooms.  Rich houses always had nice new furniture.

 The pour peoples houses were built from mud bricks.  The pour only had three rooms built in there homes.  Pour people hardly had any furniture they had to sit on the floor and seep on straw mattresses or on a rug on the floor.

* They didn’t have cranes and other big machinery to make there houses. * They didn’t have the same material we use today. * The tools used aren’t very good compared to ours today. * They made different sculptures we couldn’t make
