Even strangers, on Christmas Day greet each other by saying 'Arahaba tratry ny Noely' which means 'Merry Christmas' For Christmas, people from Madagascar eat chicken or pork with a special cake My family likes to buy poinsettias at Christmas time and in Madagascar, they grow and flower all year round

Special Christmas Food Lychees, are special food eaten at Christmas time. They are bought from people who sell them on the streets, when they are fresh from the trees. They even cover the streets in lychee skins!
