System for energy monitoring Information flow –

Building the System for energy monitoring  ICT Strategy of ZELS  The UNDP project ” Mitigating climate change through improvement of energy efficiency in building sector “  Partners of ZELS UNDP, SDC, USAID, ADC;  Cooperation, Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Transport and Communications,Ministry information technology and administration.

The final product System for energy monitoring  ZUSE – ZELS unit for support of e-municipality

System for energy monitoring Enables –  Continuous updating database of climatologically data for calculating the energy performance in Macedonia  Continuous entry and monitoring of consumption data for all types of energy in buildings;  Continuous entry and monitoring of expenses for energy in buildings;  Calculation of greenhouse gases  Monitoring of energy consumption and energy expenses for individual building and groups of buildings;  Report creation according to user preferences or according to preset templates.

System for energy monitoring Conclusions –  Municipalities’ obligations under the Law on Energy i.e.: o Preparation of 3-year municipal programmes for energy efficiency (baseline calculations); o Preparation of annual analysis on energy consumption; o Organizing a system for monitoring on energy consumption;  Important link between the central government and local authorities  Similar approach in involvement of all stakeholders can be used for the other key areas of the National Strategy for Energy Efficiency
