Top Parking Excuses I figured since I wasn’t on campus for classes during Fall Break no one else would be at work either. Just because it says “Reserved 24 Hours” doesn’t mean I can’t park there. Everybody else parks there. I didn’t see those orange cones. Those yellow striped lines mean something? I let my friend drive my car and when I went to run an errand I found a ticket.

Top Parking Excuses cont. I’ve had my parking sticker for three weeks, I just haven’t put it on my car. I have a parking sticker, it just won’t stay up anymore. I’m too scared to walk back from Siberia at 3 in the morning after I drove home from Lexington all alone. I only left my car in the fire lane so I could run upstairs really quick and call home, call my beau, eat a snack, take a nap…and I had a ticket.

And now some reminders…

Reminders… The Library lot is guests only, with a limited number of student reserved spots (they are labeled). Parking on West Campus Dr. aka “the loop” after midnight, and until 7 am is considered “overnight parking” and is ticketed as such. If you are to call campus safety for permission (or ability to park somewhere) make sure that you make your question as explicit as possible. Your decal must be attached to your window (on its own).

Reminders… Please keep note of what time it is when you park (faculty lots and 30 minute parking spots). If you are having trouble with your car, let campus safety know. If your car receives a parking violation at the fault of another, they need to write the appeal themselves. Even though faculty parking becomes open to students during the weekend, reserved lots and spaces are still as such.
