Writing Conclusions: the importance of finishing well

Emphasize your main ideas by briefly summarizing main points Answer this question: Why are your ideas important? Don’t introduce anything new that doesn’t relate with your essay Don’t just rewrite your thesis and 3 ideas

Other things to keep in mind: Connect your points to broader issues in society Refer to something in your introduction such as your hook Challenge the reader Make a prediction Give the reader a new perspective on the topic Propose a solution Discuss how this issue affects the world Leave the reader with a thoughtful question of the topic
