HOW DOES THIS 5 TH GRADE WORK?

PROCEDURES

CAFETERIA CAMPUS WIDE GOAL: THE PECAN CREEK ELEMENTARY CAFETERIA WILL BE A SAFE AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT WHERE PEOPLE USE PROPER ETIQUETTE TO INTERACT WITH COURTESY AND RESPECT DURING BREAKFAST AND LUNCH. StudentsTeachers C conversation level 1-2 only while eating level 0 when in line. H raise your hand A eating lunch M when dismissed dump your tray silently and stand in line at a level 0. P participation by everyone is required. Teachers will monitor throughout the cafeteria. Help students Make sure cafeteria is safe and running smoothly. Note: Etiquette: Socially accepted behavior in a public place; good manners

CAFETERIA Expectations for Students Students will enter and exit the cafeteria by walking. They will stand in line quietly, keeping their hands and feet to themselves. Students will use quiet voices and good manners. Students will stay in their seats and raise their hands to get help or to be dismissed. Everyone will treat others with dignity and respect. Lunch Line Walk to the entrance door using the cafeteria tape guidelines. No more than four students at a time in the serving line. Serving line is a level zero. Table Manners Student will use proper etiquette. Students will sit on their pockets facing forward with their feet still. The students will respond appropriately to the behavioral cup system. Cafeteria Dismissal Procedure When dismissed, students will gather all of their trash, walk quietly to trash can using tape guidelines. Walk to assigned exit door and stand silently in line outside until given further directions.

PLAYGROUND CAMPUS WIDE GOAL : STUDENTS WILL PLAY SAFELY IN GAMES AND ON ALL EQUIPMENT ON THE PLAYGROUND WITH EVERYONE INTERACTING WITH ONE ANOTHER WITH COURTESY AND RESPECT. StudentsTeachers C conversation level 5 H find a teacher A having fun M You may only play in view of the teachers. (you may not be behind a tree or out of view) P participation by everyone is required. Teachers will monitor the playground. Help students Watch all students to insure safety

PLAYGROUND Keep hands and feet to self. Rough play is not allowed on the playground. No pushing No shoving No kicking No grabbing No tackling No football Students will take turns and use all equipment safely. All balls brought from home are to be used as school-wide property on the playground. Students will settle differences peacefully. Students will leave rocks sticks, and gravel on the ground. Students will play within view of the supervising staff and away from trees, puddles, and mud. Students should report any broken or dangerous items to supervising staff. Students should stay away from all stray animals on school premises. Students will show pride in their school by keeping the building and grounds free of trash and litter. Students will not leave the playground area for any reason without presenting proper proof of permission from the office to supervisor on duty or receiving direct permission from supervisor. At the teacher's signal, students are to stop what they are doing and line up safely, quickly, and in an appropriate manner.

DISMISSAL CAMPUS WIDE GOAL: STUDENTS WILL DEPART SCHOOL IN A SAFE AND RESPECTFUL MANNER BY LISTENING, PARTICIPATING, AND FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS. StudentsTeachers C conversation level 0 H raise your hand A going home M Bus and daycare will be dismissed 1st Front Car Tag will go with Ms. Wahbeh and Mrs. McCauley. Back Car Tag will go with Mrs. Brown and Mrs. McCall. Walkers will go with Ms. Galindo & Mr. Berg P participation by everyone is required and must use paper plates. Teachers will monitor throughout the building. Help students Make sure dismissal is safe and running smoothly. Teachers will have paper plates for all students to carry to their destination in order to communicate to everyone how each student is going home.

H BEHAVIOR Tickets will be passed out for positive behavior. Tickets will be drawn at the end of each day for treats. At the end of each 6 weeks students who have less than 7 marks will earn a CHAMPS party. If you have 7 or more marks you will attend CHAMPS academy.
