Needs Assessment Attitudes of students Pornography use and available services for treatment on campus

Purpose This study was implemented to assess student attitudes of pornography use, and the need of a program for those addicted to pornography. Please NOTE. This presentation is only to be used as an example of presentations. The data is fabricated.

Data Collection A survey was administered in a general level university class. The survey was self administered and voluntary The project was approved by the IRB

Description of Indicators Knowledge of Current Program – Students were asked to indicate if they knew of the existence of a program to help those addicted to pornography. Possible answers were (1) No, and (2) Yes. Need for Program – Students attitudes were assessed to determine if They felt addiction to pornography was a problem They felt there was a need for a program.

Description of Indicators Need for Program – Students were asked to indicate the extent to which they agreed with the following statements: There is nothing wrong with viewing pornography. There should be laws prohibiting viewing pornography on campus. Most people don’t intentionally seek out pornographic materials. There is a need for a program to help those who are addicted to pornography.
