What is Cloning? Remember you DUMTUMS

Oh Goldie, your my favourite sheep If only all my sheep were exactly like you

Hi Famer Boris Hi Goldie I’m a big name in the world of cloning Why don’t you and Goldie come to my Lab and I’ll see what I can do for you

Thank you so much for coming – do you have any questions before we start?

How does Cloning work? It won’t hurt my little Goldie will it?

Cloning is a simple process - let me tell you all about it

First we take a skin cell from Goldie

Then we remove the Nucleus from the cell Now we need another sheep This Nucleus contains Goldie's DNA

We Take an Egg Cell out of the new sheep You are going to do WHAT?!?!?!?!

The we remove the nucleus from the new sheep cell This Nucleus contains Goldie's DNA

We now have an egg cell containing Goldie’s Exact DNA – We need to find a place for it to grow

Once inside the Surrogate sheep the baby sheep develops as normal I wish the little so and so would stop kicking me

The Sheep goes back to live on a farm and has a normal pregnancy

She Give birth to a sheep who is Genetically identical to Goldie

What an excellent idea – I think I’ll keep going
