EGUSD - Research and Evaluation November 2005 Timeline of Events January  Notification to students of upcoming EAP exam February  Sites distribute EAP test memo from CSU to all 11th grade English classes April  Students complete the EAP portion of the STAR exam August  EAP results arrive Load results to student information system Mail EAP results to students and parents Distribution of EAP results to sites  A copy of the superintendent’s cover letter  Student results roster  Samples of student reports

EGUSD - Research and Evaluation November 2005 Exam Administration Activities Test notification  Forward CSU EAP letter to students  Notify sites of EAP testing window and materials return deadline  Remind sites to set aside special testing time for EAP essay and that both the essay and the MC items must be completed Test administration and processing  Train sites in test administration procedures  Check in all EAP materials after testing  Pack and send materials to the scoring center Load results to student information system

EGUSD - Research and Evaluation November 2005 Mail EAP Results Home to Students and Parents Mailing logistics and costs  Create address labels using student ID numbers from the EAP results file  Two days of temp hire to mail out letters  Total cost to mail 3,400 results was $1,550 Cover letter from the superintendent’s office  Brief overview of EAP program  Who results are forwarded to  Alternative EPT and ELM exemption methods
