Photography Musical Composition Visual ArtsLiteratureFilm Production.. Entries not to exceed 5 minutes. Film should relate to theme: “Diversity Means…” Include subtitles if not in English. Submit on DVD or CD. Submissions in following formats:.MPG/.MPEG,.MOV/.QT,.WMV (Windows Media Video). Save as a file on the CD/DVD, not as a CD/DVD movie. Submit CD/DVD in plastic or cardboard container, identify both CD/DVD & container with student’s name, title of work, grade, state, year. SEE website for acceptable styles. Original black and white or color image, or group of images. Single print or collage may not exceed 11”X14”, inlcluding mat. Print entries on paper or other 2-D material. Mount prints on cardboard mat, poster board, or other sturdy material. Protect work with butcher paper taped to back so it will flap over the front is recommended. Place entry form in sheet protector and seceure it with masking take on back of photo. On entry form, give dimension of piece, location and date of shot and describe camera and process used to prepare piece. Entries must not exceed 2,000 words. Must submit one original and 2 copies. May be handwritten or typed. Entries on any kind of paper, not to exceed 8.5”x11”. Submit original and 2 copies in a manila folder with Entry form stapled to back of folder. Do not mount entries ; place name on all pages & number pages. Fiction, non-fiction, prose, poetry & drama are acceptable. Voice, instruments, or a combination of both. May not exceed 5 minutes. CD recording. Score size no larger than 11X14, band/orchestra compositions may be 11”X16”—do not mount or bind scores. Submit CD/DVD in plastic or cardboard container, identify both CD/DVD & container with student’s name, title of work, grade, state, year. Use of composition software permitted. Flat, 3/8 “ thick, no art may exceed 24”x30”, including mat. May use paper, canvas board,cardboard, hot or cold press board, or canvas (not to exceed 3/8 thickness. Mount all paper/canvas entries on study cardboard mats, but not in wood, metal, plastic or glass frames. Place student entry form in sheet protector and secure it with masking tape to back of art work. Include title and requred artist statement on entry form. Entries can be original print, drawing, painting, collage, photograpic collage, metal etching or punch work, fiber work or computer-generated artwork. Entries 2-5 minutes long. Recorded on CD or DVD. Formats:.MPG/.MPEG,.MOV/.QT, or.WMV. Submit CD/DVD in plastic or cardboard container, identify both CD/DVD & container with student’s name, title of work, grade, state, year. Include subtitles if not in English. Entries may be with or without sound.
