Introduction to Telecommuting Opportunity is to help out the organization and employee money situation by implementing a new way of work. The strategy that I am recommending is the use of Telecommuting. Telecommuting can be beneficial in many ways (as later on discussed).

This situation is where an employer would try to help out with the money situation for themselves as well as for the employee. High prices of rent and economical issues like we see today could be the problem we are trying to fix – saving the money for both the employer and employee is the important idea. Situation

Definition employment at home while communicating with the workplace by phone or fax or modem

4 Different Types Working at Home Satellite Office Neighborhood Work Center Mobile Teleworking

Working at Home Most Popular method Designate workspace at home

Satellite Office Remote location Near large residences Share offices Reduces

Neighborhood Work Center Workspace Administrative and Technical Requirements

Mobile Teleworking Newest Office is mobile Technological Linked

Telecommuting Forecast (E., 2009)

Benefits for Employers Cost Savings Increased Productivity Improved Motivation Retention Safety Customer Service

Benefits to Employee Reduced Time and Costs Improved Work Opportunities Less Family Life Disruption Family Balance Local Community Participation Flexible Hours

Benefits for Communities Less Pollution Reduced Traffic Congestion Reduced Highway Costs Safer Neighborhoods Improved Ecosystems Reduced Oil Dependence

Drawbacks The person The place The employer organization The work task

Recommendation As you could see from the positive and negative impacts, Telecommuting would be a great help to everyone. Will impact organizations as more of a positive affect rather then a negative one from what benefits we looked at. I came to this viewpoint as it was more of a help to everyone and including the community. It can save money at all aspects if used correctly.
