2 Virtual Worker Trends 4.3 million workers (3.2% of work force) work from home at least ½ time. 40% U.S. employers offer flexible work place options. Larger companies, New England & Mid-Atlantic employers offer most telecommuting options. 50% U.S work force holds a job compatible with partial telecommuting. 80-90% workforce would prefer telework at least part time. Salaried workers more likely to work remotely. 43% of workers spent time working remotely.

3 Virtual worker trends 68% of Millennials indicated employers with remote workplace policies would be preferred. 30% of telecommuters report being more productive working from home (less distracted). 66% of managers report telecommuters have increased productivity. 82% of telecommuters report lower stress levels. Hiring managers expect more FT staff to work remotely over the next 10 years. Majority of employers lack formal telecommuting policies.

Greater work/life balance.
