Dade County Science Teachers’ Association (DCSTA) 2014 Teacher of the Year Awards. Awards are designed to honor one classroom teacher in each of the following three levels of teaching: K-5, 6-8, and Nominees must be a full-time (the majority of the day in direct instruction to students) classroom teacher and be in at least their third year of teaching. Applications and more information will be sent out as a Weekly Briefing and by the Science Department in March. Applications will be due on April 28 th, DCSTA Science Teacher of the Year Awards Banquet will be on May 16, 2017 at the Marriott Miami Airport Hotel.

FCR-STEMLearn Certificate The FCR-STEMLearn Certificate Program aims to provide professional development to approximately 1,000 teachers across the state of Florida during the summer of The PD includes an 80 hour face-to-face summer institute in Orlando with follow-up lesson study in the fall. FCR-STEM will cover the hotel and travel costs for teachers selected to attend the PD. PD attendees who complete all program requirements will receive a $2,000 stipend.
